With the start of a new decade www.wailer.de develops this further step to spread Jamaican Music world wide by online distribution of mp3-files digitally remastered and complete with full background information.
This project is fully official as all what you will find here starts with an agreement between the artist or his family and me. It is developed with full blessings of the artist or his family.
It is realized by a handful of devoted music lovers who put into this their skills of sound engineering to receive digital remastered tracks with the best authenthic sound possible and their skills for graphic design to provide booklets.
Essential to get the stories right and to provide an intimate insight in the Jamaican Music from the very first start is the full-hearted support of an always growing group of writers and researchers of Jamaican Music with many decades of experiences.
First to mention is Keith Scott “The Historian” who worked at Federal Records in Kingston from 1960 to 1970 and also at Merritone Records and is one of very few living witnesses from the very first days Jamaican Music was recorded. His support is simply a blessing and I only can thank him with my full heart.
The same is for Roger Steffens, Jeremy Collingwood, Chuck Foster that you know from the books “Bob Marley & The Wailers: The Definite Discography”, “Bob Marley” and “Roots Rock Reggae”. Love, Peace, Health and Prosperity. And a big big thanks for your patience to listen my never ending questions.
